Avicii showcases album at iTunes

Avicii let his music do the talking as he performed a gig at the 2013 iTunes Festival.

The 24-year-old Swedish DJ, whose real name is Tim Bergling, proved there was no way he was ending his seven-year consistent touring streak with his latest stop.

Ahead of the release of his debut album True on September 16, Avicii opened his set with hit track I Could Be The One featuring Nicky Romero and went on to play a selection of new tracks as he headlined the show at London's Roundhouse.

His first album features collaborations with Chic frontman Nile Rodgers - fresh off the back off this summer's Get Lucky, and Mac Davies who famously wrote for Elvis Presley.

Avicii ended with his number one track Wake Me Up, which he admitted he was previously sceptical of how his fans would react.

"I was massively worried, but thankful that everything that has happened this summer with the song has been amazing," he told the Daily Mirror.

Lady Gaga, Sir Elton John and Arctic Monkeys are among the acts who have already played at this year's iTunes Festival, while Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding are set to perform in coming days.
