NewsNovember, 27 Ferrell, Thicke team up for songWill Ferrell's Anchorman alter-ego Ron Burgundy and Robin Thicke are reportedly hoping to film a music video together. The actor, who will return to the big screen in upcoming sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, and the Blurred Lines singer have recorded a cover of Christopher Cross' 1980 hit Ride Like The Wind for the film's soundtrack. Both are now apparently keen to shoot a video to accompany the song. "Everyone's on board for a proper music video, but Will's concerned about his schedule. He fears Ron Burgundy will be overexposed," an insider told the New York Post's Page Six. Will, who co-hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards as his Ron character, is trying to get Robin to appear on a TV show like Conan O'Brien or Late Night With Jimmy Fallon with him so they can perform the song. And sources say that Robin's record label, Interscope, and Will's camp are trying to get them both on Jimmy Kimmel Live! together to sing Ride Like The Wind. "Will would like Robin to join him on some of his TV appearances, such as Conan and Jimmy," the source added. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which sees Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner reprise their roles as the San Diego newsteam, will be released in the UK on December 18.
