Madonna dances the night away with son Rocco

Madonna and her 16-year-old son put their past squabbles behind them to celebrate her birthday in Cuba on Tuesday (16Aug16).

Mother and son enjoyed a "family mambo, Cuban style" in the streets of Havana as the Material Girl turned 58.

She shared black and white video of the party on Instagram on Tuesday night. In the footage, Madonna and Rocco Ritchie spin each other round in a packed restaurant before embracing as fellow diners clap and cheer.

Madonna and the teenager have settled their differences following a custody dispute, which marred the end of the pop superstar's recent world tour.

She fell out with Rocco's father Guy Ritchie after her son refused to return home to America after spending the Christmas holidays with his director dad.

The family reunited in London and took a vacation to Africa.

Madonna celebrated her eldest son's birthday earlier this month (Aug16) with various social media posts.

In a caption accompanying one shot of Rocco with his brother David, she wrote: "Happy Birthday to my first born son. A true warrior with a beautiful heart. Let the sun shine!"

She also posted shots of Rocco from his youth, adding: "Happy Birthday Wild Child... Time waits for no one."

Madonna's 58th birthday was marked by fans and celebrity friends all over the world, with Demi Lovato, Victoria Justice, and Paris Hilton among those who paid tribute to the singer using Snapchat's custom Madonna filter.

Overwhelmed by the greetings, the singer took to Instagram and thanked fans for their birthday wishes, adding, "You know how to make a girl feel special!"
