Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora put feud rumours to rest

Jon Bon Jovi and former bandmate Richie Sambora ended feud rumours on Thursday (18Aug16) by exchanging kind words on Twitter.

The singer and his former lead guitarist have reportedly had a frosty relationship ever since Richie left in 2013 because he wanted to see more of his daughter, and Jon told CBS This Morning in May (16) he hadn't seen him in three years.

However, on Thursday they proved there's still love between them in a warm Twitter exchange about each other's music. Richie kicked it off by posting a video on Twitter with his partner Orianthi Panagaris to congratulate the band on their single This House Is Not for Sale.

After addressing his former Bon Jovi bandmates, Richie says, "Heck, congratulations on the new single man, God bless, good luck, hope you guys do great. Travel safe."

Australian singer/guitarist Orianthi adds, "Congratulations on your new single. All the best," while Richie makes a peace sign with his fingers and concludes, "Big love, man. Peace."

Jon Bon Jovi responded hours later by writing, "@TheRealSambora thanks Richie and Orianthi . Look forward to hearing your record too...all the best, JBJ."

During Jon's recent interview on U.S. program CBS This Morning he revealed Richie "just didn't show up for work anymore. And that's the truth of the matter. And life goes on. You know, being in a rock band is not a life sentence... you have other things in your life that you care to do...You don't have to do this for a living - you choose to do it for a living."

Richie also told Lust of Life magazine there's "no bad blood with me anymore" but he was hurt by untruths in the media. He hasn't ruled out a return to the band.

He is working on solo music, while Bon Jovi are gearing up to release their first full studio record without him, also called This House Is Not for Sale, in October (16).
