Watch the new video for Coldplay's 'A Head Full Of Dreams'

Coldplay have unveiled the video for their latest single, ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’. Watch it below.

Directed by Marcus Haney and filmed on Super 8mm film, the video opens with Charlie Chaplin’s speech from The Great Dictator, before cutting to the band cycling to their show in Mexico City.

The song’s is the opening track from Coldplay’s seventh album of the same name, which has sold over 4 million copies since its release at the end of last year.

Last month meanwhile, Michael J. Fox joined Coldplay onstage in New Jersey to perform a cover of ‘Johnny B. Goode’ and ‘Earth Angel’.

The actor famously performed the songs as part of his role as Marty McFly in Back To The Future. In a video message at Coldplay’s MetLife Stadium gig on Sunday evening (17 July), Chris Martin’s son Moses requested that the band play the songs, as it’s their favourite film of all time.

Earlier this summer, Coldplay headlined the final night of Glastonbury Festival. Their epic, hit-packed set had a moment of poignancy when the band paid tribute to up-and-coming band Viola Beach, who were killed in a car crash earlier this year. “We’re gonna create Viola Beach’s alternate future for them,” Chris Martin told the crowd, “and let them headline Glastonbury for a song.”
