Adele to tour Australia for the first time

Adele will tour Australia for the first time next year (17).

The Grammy Award-winner announced her tour plans by posting a photo of a handwritten note to her Facebook page on Monday (14Nov16), sharing that she’ll soon perform in five major cities Down Under.

“G’Day it’s me... I was wondering if after 10 years in the game you’d finally like to meet me in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide,” she wrote, referencing the lyrics of her 2015 single Hello. “Yep! I am coming Down Under. In the round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible. I can’t wait.”

She’ll perform at Perth’s Domain Stadium on 28 February (17), Brisbane’s Gabba on 4 March, at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney on 10 March, Adelaide’s Oval on March 13 before concluding the trek at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium on 18 March.

Live Nation is set to produce all the shows, staging them with a 360 degree view.

Fans in New Zealand needn’t feel left out though, as she wrote in a caption to the photo: “Thinking of you, New Zealand. Stay tuned for more news.”

Adele will captivate fans with tracks from her latest album 25, which boasts singles Hello, When We Were Young and Send My Love (To Your New Lover), as well as her other big hits including Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You. The 28-year-old is currently wrapping the North American leg of her Live 2016 tour, playing at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on Tuesday evening (15Nov16) before heading to Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena on 21 November (16).
