Kanye West has lashed out at broadcaster Don Lemon after suffering a backlash over a naked stunt at the Grammy Awards.

The 47-year-old rap sensation, also known simply as Ye, sparked fury on Sunday night when he walked the Grammy Awards red carpet with wife Bianca Censori, 30 - where he appeared to demand she strip naked.

Music fans were stunned when Censori removed a large fluffy coat to reveal a completely transparent minidress underneath leaving her completely exposed as she sported no underwear.

Reports suggested that West and his wife were thrown out of the ceremony over the stunt - but he has implied this is not true, taking aim at Lemon, 58, in the process.

Sharing a photo of the former CNN host on Instagram, the Jesus Walks singer wrote, "This the goofball that started the rumour that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies 3 decades of innovating music and they always K***S like this."

West and Censori's stunt has provoked widespread condemnation - with concerns raised that he appeared to be ordering his wife around on the red carpet.

One report has suggested West may have lost a contract worth $20 million (£16 million) to perform a number of shows in Japan, where he has lived for most of the past year, following public outrage over the incident.

A source told the Daily Mail on Monday: "Japan is having a cultural awakening about women's rights and the MeToo movement is really strong here. What he did is being seen as an act of coercive control which is utterly unacceptable. He has completely culturally misjudged Japan."
