Meghan Markle and Billie Eilish team up for LA fire victim

Meghan Markle and Billie Eilish have teamed up to support a teen victim of the LA wildfires.

The duchess put a call out on behalf of a teen girl who had lost her home, and Billie stepped in to help.

In a video posted to her social media channels, Meghan, 43, explained she had met a young girl whose most prized possession was a t-shirt she had bought at one of Billie's recent concerts.

"About two or three weeks ago, when my husband and I were in Altadena, we went to a community where all the homes were left in ashes," Meghan said.

"I saw this young woman and I said, 'Oh my gosh, how old are you?'. She's 15. She lives there. And her mom shared something with me... that all that she'd been looking for, in her home, was the t-shirt from the Billie Eilish concert that she had just gone to - that she left in the washing machine or the dryer.

"And of course, they now see their home and the washing machine and the dryer are ash. They're not there any more. And so I said, 'Well I don't know Billie Eilish, but I'm going to figure out how to get you this shirt'."

After putting the call-out amongst her well-connected social circle, Meghan was able to get a message to Billie, who promptly delivered a package of signed t-shirts, vinyl records and other merchandise to Meghan's home.

"Thank you Billie Eilish - this is going to mean so much to her," Meghan gushed.

The LA fires began on January 7 and burned through close to 24,000 acres of land, killing at least 29 people and destroying in excess of 10,000 homes.
