Benny Blanco was focused on "being a grownup" before he met his fiancée Selena Gomez.

Speaking to Interview Magazine, the record producer explained that before he met his now-fiancée, Selena, his priority was to grow up and find the "right person" to settle down with.

"I remember before I was with her, I was like, 'You know what? I'm going to stop everything I'm doing and just focus all my energy on being a grownup and being with the right person,'" he recalled.

"Now I worship the ground she walks on and I feel like she's the same way to me," Benny continued of his relationship with the Calm Down singer. "There's no ego between us. She's praying for me to win and I'm praying for her to win."

Selena and Benny began dating in 2023, and announced they were engaged on 11 December the following year.

In the interview, Benny continued to gush about the Only Murders in the Building star.

"I wake up in the morning - I know she does the same thing - and I'm like, 'How can I make her life better?' Holding her isn't close enough," he shared. "I want to be inside of her whole body."

He added, "I just feel a thing for her that I can't even explain. I'm so sappy."

Selena then interjected, "It's very romantic," prompting the record producer to gush, "I just smile all day."

The couple recently released the song Scared of Loving You, which will appear on their upcoming collaborative album, I Said I Love You First. The record will drop on 21 March.
