NewsFebruary, 23 Shakira cancels concert amid safety concerns![]() Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour has hit another roadblock in South America. The trek's Medellin, Colombia concert has been postponed due to safety concerns. A statement from event organiser Paramo Presenta explained: "During the process of setting up the show scheduled for 24 February, the stage roof installed by a local production company suffered damage that put the artist's safety at risk." Scheduled to take place at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, a new date is expected to be announced soon. The announcement comes after Shakira was forced to postpone the tour's Lima, Peru show last week when she suffered abdominal pains. She recovered and continued performing on the blockbuster roadshow. The Hips Don't Lie singer has back-to-back concerts scheduled in Bogota, Colombia on 26 and 27 February. The concert extravaganza will continue on to North America later this year with a slate of stadium shows, kicking off in May. "I'm so excited to share my best show yet with you," Shakira wrote on Instagram last year when announcing the global trek's new 2025 dates. "Thank you all for supporting and inspiring me to keep pushing myself. I can't wait to celebrate with you in May!"
