Drake's Australian tour in doubt as cancellation rumours swirl

Drake's remaining Australian and New Zealand tour dates are reportedly under threat.

Speculation is intensifying that the Canadian rap superstar may be about to pull the plug on the remainder of his Australia and New Zealand tour.

The rapper is scheduled to perform in Brisbane on 4 March, followed by Sydney on 7 March and two performances in Auckland on 15 and 16 March.

However, multiple media reports have suggested these dates could be scrapped, with an official announcement expected imminently.

Adding fuel to the fire, Drake's elaborate stage equipment - including his signature clear-glass walkway - will be shipped off to Europe this week, leaving no equipment in Australia for his scheduled performances, according to Brisbane newspaper the Courier Mail.

Despite promoter Live Nation denying any cancellations, the superstar's private jet is reportedly scheduled to depart Brisbane this morning for Fiji.

The development comes after members of Drake's inner circle reportedly told guests at an afterparty in Brisbane on Tuesday night that they were preparing to leave the country "in a few hours".

No further details have been given on whether or not the upcoming shows will go ahead.

Drake's Anita Max Win Tour began on 4 February in Perth.
