Morrissey slams 'trolls' for claiming upcoming concert has been cancelled

Morrissey has slammed "trolls" for claiming that his upcoming concert has been cancelled.

The British music icon has hit out at social media users who claimed his upcoming show in Krakow, Poland had been scrapped.

Writing on his official website, Morrissey confirmed that the gig is still going ahead.

"Trolls whose heads are not attached to their bodies, keep fit by posting poisonous information," read a statement on the website. "Morrissey's projected concert in Krakow will 100% take place. Please accept this notification as either assurance or warning."

Earlier this month, the former Smiths frontman announced a string of 2025 tour dates in the U.K. and Ireland, kicking off in Dublin on 31 May.

Following a series of shows in the U.K., the There Is a Light That Never Goes Out singer will travel across Europe with stops in Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Serbia, Greece and more.

The tour will see Morrissey perform in the U.K. for the first time since he abruptly cancelled a show at London's Crystal Palace in April 2023.

The 65-year-old musician was then due to perform at Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall as a replacement show, but cancelled the gig due to "unforeseen circumstances".

The European shows will follow his upcoming spring U.S. tour, which kicks off on 26 April and includes stops in Nevada, California, New York, Florida and more.
