Kesha postpones Texas show due to severe weather

Kesha postponed her show in Texas due to severe weather on Tuesday night.

The Tik Tok hitmaker was forced to cancel her show at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday night as a result of dangerous weather conditions.

In an Instagram Stories post, Kesha, who is currently on her T**s Out tour, explained that she had cancelled the gig to prioritise her fans' safety.

"I wanted to say thank you for coming out to support an independent artist," she wrote. "I have been so excited for tonight and to celebrate my freedom and go t**s out with all of you, but due to the weather and what yall here in Texas have been facing, I have to put your safety first."

The 38-year-old continued, "My heart is with you Texas. I'm so sorry that I can't play this show tonight because of the weather and for all of your safety."

The Kerr County region of Texas was hit by devastating flash floods earlier this month, killing more than 100 people. More than 160 people are still missing.

On Tuesday, severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings were in effect in North Texas, with heavy rain expected.

To conclude her post, Kesha explained that she plans to perform in the city on Wednesday.

"I'm going to stay here in your beautiful city and come back here tomorrow and would love to play for all of you tomorrow night," the singer penned. "All of your tickets will be honored and I'm so sorry. Get home safe, let's party tomorrow."

As part of her ongoing joint tour with the Scissor Sisters, which kicked off on 1 July, Kesha is next set to perform at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, Texas, on Thursday.
