NewsJuly, 16 Miley Cyrus still has 'no desire' to tour![]() Miley Cyrus has "no desire" to tour because it is "really hard" to maintain sobriety on the road. The Flowers hitmaker hasn't headlined a major tour since The Bangerz Tour back in 2014. And during an interview for Good Morning America on Tuesday, Miley emphasised that she won't be going on an international trek anytime soon. "I do have the physical ability and I have the opportunity to tour. I wish I had the desire but I don't," she began, before going on to argue that there isn't a proper "infrastructure" for artists who perform consistently. "There's artists like Prince that are not here today that lived such a high-intensity lifestyle on the road. It's really hard to maintain sobriety on the road, which is a really important pillar of stability in my life." Miley also noted that it's important for her to maintain "mental wellness". "You have so many thousands of people screaming at you, so dopamine - you're feeling a lot of love - and then you totally crash at the end of the show," the 32-year-old continued. "You start thinking that one person loving you is not enough. It needs to be 10,000, it needs to be 80,000." Elsewhere in the conversation, Miley discussed how she protects her "very distinct" voice now as a result of experiencing vocal cord issues in the past. "I always kind of sounded like this, but it's aged along with me and changed and evolved in all these different ways," she added. "I've always, you know, I've had kind of a unique texture, and I've gotten really used to working with what I've been given and training appropriately, giving myself boundaries, because I realised how sacred it is to myself and to what I do." Miley's ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, is out now.
