Chris Martin jokes about kiss-cam scandal at first Coldplay concert since viral video

Chris Martin offered fans a friendly warning before using the Jumbotron at Coldplay's first concert since the kiss-cam scandal.

During the group's Music of the Spheres World Tour show at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts earlier this month, the camera zoomed in on a man and woman cuddling as they watched the stage.

The pair quickly jumped apart and attempted to hide their faces once they noticed they were on the big screen.

"Whoa, look at these two," frontman Chris stated to the crowd. "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."

The footage quickly went viral, with thousands of videos and memes poking fun at the awkward interaction circulating on social media.

And while Chris has not yet officially commented on the moment, during the band's gig at the Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday night, he made sure to give concertgoers plenty of time to prepare for the "Jumbotron Song".

"We'd like to say hello to some of you in the crowd," he said as the crowd erupted into applause. "How we're gonna do that is we're gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen."

Chris then warned: "So please, if you haven't done your make-up, do your make-up now."

The people in the viral video were quickly identified as Andy Byron, CEO of technology company Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the chief people officer at the organisation.

Neither has publicly commented on the video.

However, a spokesperson for the company announced on Saturday morning that Byron had resigned and Astronomer's co-founder, Pete DeJoy, was to serve as interim CEO.

"As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding," they commented. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met."
