NewsMarch, 12 Miley Cyrus to receive Innovator Award at 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards
Miley Cyrus is to be honoured with a prestigious prize at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. On Wednesday, producers announced that the Flowers hitmaker will be bestowed with the Innovator Award during the ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on 26 March. Each year, the Innovator Award is presented to an artist who has "impacted both music and global culture throughout their career". "From her groundbreaking role 20 years ago in (TV series) Hannah Montana, a cultural phenomenon that continues to shape and inspire generations, to her evolution into one of the most fearless, dynamic and influential voices in music today, Miley's impact on pop culture is undeniable," they praised. "Beyond her artistry, Miley's humanitarian work has made a profound impact. Through the Miley Cyrus Foundation, and the launch of Happy Hippie, she has been a powerful advocate for homeless and at-risk youth, especially teens facing housing insecurity." Miley, 33, has not yet commented on the announcement. Past recipients of the Innovator Award include Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, U2, Alicia Keys, and Lady Gaga. Elsewhere, producers confirmed Ludacris will receive the Landmark Award, which honours artists whose portfolio has "shaped culture across multiple decades". The rapper-actor, real name Christopher Bridges, will also host the spectacle. "I'm excited to return as host of the iHeartRadio Music Awards to celebrate and perform alongside some of the best in the industry," he exclaimed. "It's going to be a night with special performances and surprise moments (that) fans are going to love." In addition, Alex Warren will be honoured with the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award and is set to perform on the night. Other artists tapped to feature amid the event include Lainey Wilson and RAYE, while TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue will perform for the first time together. Competition is fierce across categories at the iHeartRadio Music Awards this year, with Bad Bunny, Benson Boone, Ed Sheeran, Ella Langley, GloRilla, KATSEYE, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift all receiving multiple nominations.
