J. Cole has called off a concert after a member of his touring crew was killed in an accident. On Thursday, a representative for the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, announced that a truck driver had died and that the scheduled performance for the Fall-Off World Tour would not take place. “Following the tragic passing of a member of the touring crew in a trucking accident this morning, J. Cole’s performance at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento tonight, August 27, has been canceled,” the statement read. “Our thoughts are with the crew member’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.” Ticket holders will get refunds from the point of purchase. It is not yet known if the show will be rescheduled. Earlier, The Sacramento Bee reported that the crew member was driving a semi-truck that veered off the highway and overturned. The man died at the scene, and local authorities are investigating the crash. J. Cole, whose real name is Jermaine Cole, is next scheduled to perform in Oakland, California, on Saturday. He has not yet commented publicly on the tragedy. The 41-year-old rapper has 15 more North American dates on the Fall-Off World Tour before heading to Europe, Oceania, and South Africa later this year. His seventh studio album, The Fall-Off, was released last February.
