Kooks star Luke cleans up his act
The Kooks' frontman Luke Pritchard has revealed he regrets letting his partying take priority over his music.
The singer - whose band are back with a new album, Junk Of The Heart - admitted his love of socialising got a bit out of hand after the four-piece became famous.
He told the Daily Star: "I was going out more than I was playing music, and I do regret that.
"I got a bit lost, and not just with women and relationships. I was getting a bit rampant generally."
Luke, who has dated actress Mischa Barton and singer Katie Melua, decided it was time to rein in his party-going ways.
He added: "I slowly realised I was going to the same bars every night, getting in the same messed-up state, and I thought: 'What is this bringing me, really?'
"I never took it to heart when my socialising was being written about, but all that stuff should have been secondary."
