NewsApril, 25 Sande: I want to duet with WestEmeli Sande has revealed she would like to work with Kanye West. The Brit-winning Scottish songstress admitted she would also jump at the opportunity to sing with US singer-songwriter Tracy Chapman and former Fugees singer Lauryn Hill at a MasterCard Priceless gig in London. "To name a few, I would love to collaborate with Lauryn Hill, Tracy Chapman, and Kanye West," she said. Emeli, who performed an acoustic set including her hits Next To Me and Heaven for 60 competition winners at St James Theatre, added: "The dream song I wish I wrote and recorded would be Fast Car by Tracy Chapman." The 26-year-old has been working on her second album, the follow-up to her phenomenally successful Our Version Of Events. The new record will include tracks featuring chart-topping group Rudimental. "They've been great to work with. There will be two tracks coming up on the next album but you'll have to wait and see," she said. The singer hasn't decided on a release date for the album yet, saying: "That's what I would like to know also. I'm waiting for the inspiration and the time to really focus."
