Rapturous reception for Five

Five got a rapturous reception as they played their first ever festival.

The band, which reformed last year after an 11-year break, played to an overflowing tent at the V Festival in Staffordshire.

Fans old and new sang along to hits such as Keep on Movin' and Got The Feelin'.

Band member Sean Conlon said: "It was pretty immense. I mean before we went on the stage I said to Scott could we do this thing where at the end we get the audience singing.

"I said I'm going to gauge it to see how it goes because we didn't know if it was going to be our audience or not. I was really shocked, quite overwhelmed really. It was packed."

The 32-year-old also revealed he had never been to a festival before.

He said: "I've never been to a festival before today. In fact the first time I'd ever been to an arena gig was a Five gig."

The band are due to kick off their Greatest Hits tour in November.

Sean said fans could expect to hear all their classic tracks but said he was not sure what would come next for the band.

"If it's not broke, don't fix it. This was about the big reunion, about doing the old stuff. It's about embracing it, enjoying what we were. Once we've done that who knows," he said.
