Diddy: J Cole fight was all false

P Diddy has denied reports that he had a fight with rapper J Cole at his MTV Video Music Awards after-party, saying they are "friends."

There had been claims that Beyonce and Jay-Z had to step in after the 43-year-old entrepreneur - whose real name is Sean Combs - had a scuffle with the Nobody's Perfect singer.

But P Diddy took to Twitter to clear up the stories, writing: "I usually don't address rumours but I got too much respect for my bro @JColeNC. We are friends The rumours are not true. We had a great party."

Stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Drake, Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel attended the glitzy after-party at the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York on August 25.
