NewsOctober, 4 Neil Young to do Chili Peppers gigNeil Young is set to perform at a benefit concert hosted by Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea and Anthony Kiedis. The star has been announced for the line-up of a benefit for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music being organised by Flea and Anthony. The organisation also announced that the event will take place on October 30 in Silverlake, California, when Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform, too. Flea founded the Silverlake Conservatory of Music in 2001 for music education, lessons and scholarships. The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist said in a statement that he was "grateful" for all the help given to the organisation and that Neil performing at the event "is the greatest blessing". It will also feature a silent auction with donations from Marc Jacobs, Tony Hawk, Pearl Jam, Gucci and others. The event costs 2,000 dollars per guest, and a 10-seat table is 25,000 dollars.
