Aerosmith Return With Star-Studded Bowl Shows

Aerosmith Return With Star-Studded Bowl Shows

Aerosmith were back on stage for two sold-out nights at the Hollywood Bowl on 29 October and 1 November 2026. Billed as California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, the run was produced by 724 Management, Blackbird Presents and Live Nation-Hewitt Silva, and it paired the band’s five decades of songs with a long guest list.

The first night began with Liv Tyler and Alicia Silverstone, both veterans of the band’s “Crazy” video, reuniting to introduce them. Dave Grohl sat in on drums for a fiery “Toys in the Attic,” and the set rolled on through “Back in the Saddle,” “Sweet Emotion” and Dream On. Johnny Depp also turned up unexpectedly, playing lead guitar with Joe Perry on “Train Kept a Rollin.”

One of the most moving moments came when Steven Tyler saluted his bandmates and then brought founding drummer Joey Kramer out for his first appearance with the group since 2020. Kramer played “Walk This Way” with Tyler, Perry, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton, joined by drummer John Douglas.

Night two added more collaborations, with guest spots from Lzzy Hale, Tom Morello, Pat Monahan, Grace Potter, Marcus King and Richie Kotzen. RUN DMC came out with Aerosmith and Kramer for a thunderous “Walk This Way.” Over the two nights the wider lineup of contributors also featured Guns N’ Roses, The Black Crowes, Heart, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar and Chad Smith, all under music director Don Was.

Reviews were warm. Rolling Stone called Aerosmith a “national rock ’n’ roll treasure,” Variety said the band “sounded in completely top form,” and the Los Angeles Times singled out Tyler’s vocals, especially his soaring delivery on “Dream On.” The weekend underlined the group’s place among rock’s most enduring and influential acts.
