Miley Cyrus wants SMS - her collaboration with Britney Spears - to be her next single.

The singer, 20, wants the track from her album Bangerz to follow on from the success of Wrecking Ball.

Asked what song she would pick for her next single, she told MTV News: "I hope SMS (Bangerz) with Britney (Spears).

"That would be awesome," she said at her album launch party in New York, adding that she "can't quit thinking" about how the video with Britney would look.

Miley has previously hinted that the Ooh La La singer had been the inspiration for her raunchy new image.

Britney, 31, defended Miley following her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, saying "she's doing her thing. She's being herself".

Miley is expected to score a UK chart double this weekend with Wrecking Ball and new album Bangerz, according to the Official Charts Company.
