No Oasis reunion for Noel Gallagher

Noel Gallagher has rubbished rumours of an Oasis reunion, saying he would not be involved.

The 46-year-old, who was one of the frontmen of Oasis with younger brother Liam, admitted there is no chance of the band getting back together, following speculation that the band will reform to mark the upcoming 20th anniversary of their classic debut album, Definitely Maybe.

"We are split up. Yeah, so, ergo, band splits up, band is no more. There is no band," he told Rolling Stone.

"So, no, I won't be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won't be in it," he added.

He said he doesn't get fed up of the constant questions about an Oasis reunion, adding: "I understand people will never stop asking until it happens. I know that that's how it goes."

However, Noel - who has since made music with his High Flying Birds - admitted he is "proud" of Oasis' achievements since they formed in 1991.

"I'm proud of everything that we ever did. I mean, some songs are pretty s***, and there's a couple of periods you'd rather forget, but I think on the whole... I think we made three great albums and four good ones, which is not bad out of eight. Kind of a 50 per cent record. That's pretty good, I think," he continued.

"But I'm cool with it. I don't think there's any unfinished business. I don't think that we left anything unsaid... It's like, if you've seen [Oasis], then good for you. If you didn't, then that's f***ing tough s***."

Liam, Beady Eye's lead singer, told NME in 2012 that he would be interested in "burying the hatchet for a lap of honour" for Oasis, who split in 2009 following a fight between the siblings before the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
