Adele covers ‘Spice Up Your Life’ on tour and earns praise from Mel B

Adele crumbled to audience pressure at a recent gig in Amsterdam with an impromptu cover a Spice Girls classic.

The Hello singer proved once again her superfan credentials when she sung ‘Spice Up Your Life’ after pleas from loving fans.

‘Oh stop it! I’m not a Spice Girl!’ she protested, before bursting into the song’s chorus to the delight of the sold-out arena.

Adele has long boasted of her love for the 90s girl group, going so far as sing ‘Wannabe’ during her recent appearance on James Corden’s popular Carpool Karaoke segment.

That clip has now racked up over 100 million views, leading Victoria Beckham to label the world’s biggest pop star a ‘genius’.

And Mel B told reporters that she was very ‘flattered’ by Adele’s Spice Girls love.

‘It’s great. It leaves me speechless a little bit.

‘I love Adele. I love the fact that she kind of tips her hat off to us and gives us props. I mean who isn’t a fan of Adele?

‘So, to know that she’s a fan of the Spice Girls is definitely one for the books.’

The multi-platinum superstar will be delighted to here that Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner are back in the studio as they prepare to release a new Spice Girls record and tour the world next year.

Unfortunately Mel C and Victoria Beckham both declined to take part, so maybe Adele can write a weepy ballad about that for the next album.
