Hailey Baldwin addresses Drake romance rumours

Supermodel Hailey Baldwin insists rapper Drake is nothing more than a "great friend".

The stars sparked dating rumours after they were spotted having dinner together at West Hollywood restaurant Ysabel last month (May16), just one day after eyewitnesses claimed the pair was getting very cosy at the Hotline Bling hitmaker's Memorial Day party (30May16).

However, when quizzed by E! News journalists on the true nature of her relationship with Drake, 29, the catwalk star claimed she considers him nothing but a "great friend".

"I've known (Drake) for a long time, I don't know if people really know that," she noted.

In addition to their friendship, Hailey and Drake are also business collaborators, as she just finished wrapping up a new music video shoot for one of his singles, telling the outlet that working with him was a "fine" experience.

A source previously informed E! casual flirting is the most passionate romantic activity the A-listers have ever engaged in with each other.

"They have always had a close friendship and similar group of friends," the source detailed. "They are very playful with each other, but nothing romantic is going on at this moment."

Before the Drake gossip grabbed headlines, the 19-year-old model enjoyed a fling with pop star Justin Bieber, but she previously revealed she and the 22-year-old Sorry hitmaker were "not an exclusive couple".

And in an April (16) interview with Marie Claire magazine, Hailey made it clear getting involved in a serious love affair with another celebrity is not something she's interested in at the moment.

"I don't want attention out of dating somebody," she said. "Texts started coming through, crazy phone calls... It's hard to date somebody in this industry. You have to have really thick skin and be very strong. You have to focus on the person and nothing else."
