Glastonbury 2027 tickets sell out in 42 minutes

Glastonbury 2027 tickets sell out in 42 minutes

Glastonbury Festival has once again shown its enormous pulling power: standard tickets for the 2027 edition were gone in only 42 minutes. At 09:00 BST on Sunday, thousands of music fans rushed into online queues, all hoping to claim a spot at Worthy Farm in Somerset. The festival runs from June 23 to 27, returning after its recent fallow year.

Organisers had already said tickets would hit a record £408, including a £5 booking fee – a rise of £29.50 compared with the 2025 event. Even though the price crossed the £400 mark for the first time, demand far exceeded supply. Coach packages had sold out in under half an hour earlier in the week.

No official headliners have been revealed yet, but organiser Emily Eavis said the team is delighted with how preparations are shaping up. For those who got tickets, such as Zoe Scott, the expense is worth it given the festival's size, with thousands of acts performing on more than 100 stages.

Among the successful buyers are Nick and Helen Nugget from Amersham, who first met at the Somerset farm in 2007. The couple intend to mark their forthcoming 20th wedding anniversary by going back to the festival with the same friends they met there two decades ago.

Others were less fortunate. Mat Chapman and his daughter Amy missed out again, falling just short on Amy's 26th birthday after years of trying to get in.

For anyone who missed Sunday's sale, organisers have confirmed that a resale of cancelled or returned tickets will be held in Spring 2027, offering another chance to be part of the magic at Worthy Farm.
