Lady Gaga's new album is inspired by 'all the men' in her life

Lady Gaga's new album has been influenced by "all the men" in her life.

The 'Bad Romance' hitmaker - who recently broke off her engagement to actor Taylor Kinney in July this year after dating for five years - has admitted the LP titled 'Joanne' after her aunt was inspired by her split from 'The Other Woman' star.

Speaking to The Mirror Online about her music, the blonde beauty said: "When you listen to the album, it's clear the influence that all the men in my life have made on this record. That's at the middle of it, as well: I always wanted to be a good girl. And Joanne was such a good girl.

"I'm figuring out all of those relationships in my life through the music, and going very deeply into it."

The 30-year-old musician has also revealed her father is also referenced to on the album because she was trying to "understand him" through music.

She explained: "But I have such a rebellious spirit, and my father was always very angry. He drank because of his sister's death. I was trying to understand him through making this record, and in that, also trying to understand why I love men that are cowboys."

Meanwhile Lady Gaga has revealed despite the solemn undertones and underlying influences, the album is not a "sad album", but is a compilation of music, which will allow her fans to get to know her better.

She said: "But in a totally beautiful way. It's not a sad album. It's an album that is very revealing of me as a woman."

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has admitted her and Taylor's split was amicable and she still classes the dark-haired hunk as her "soul mate".

Speaking previously, she said: "Taylor and I have always believed we are soul mates.

"Just like all couples, we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break.

"Please root us on. We're just like everybody else, and we really love each other."
