Billie Joe Armstrong talks about playing Mark Zuckerberg's wedding

Billie Joe Armstrong, of Green Day, featured on American TV show, Watch What Happens, last night.

Armstrong opened up about the surreal experience in which he played at Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg's wedding.

Armstrong said of the occasion: "Yeah uh, so I did perform for free," he continued, "he was kind of like a Green Day fan, almost in a nerdy kind of way."

The American Idiot singer lavished Zuckerberg with praise for his modesty: "There was nothing about it where I thought that it looked like he had a ton [of money] the way that he lives, it fits his age, I would say. He seemed pretty mellow about that."

Armstrong also said that he played his band's heartfelt track, 'Last Night On Earth': "Mark wanted me to play this song… This song is one that I wrote for my wife of 18 years. It better be for her, or I'd be in deep trouble."

It's been a long week of talking for Armstrong, as only recently the singer was heard on Beats1 talking about his son's musical ventures.Not only that but Green Day have been tipped for another UK number one, with their album, Revolution Radio.
