Adam Levine centre of bogus domestic violence and child abuse accusations - report

Adam Levine has been caught up in a bogus domestic violence and child abuse investigation.

Officials at the Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division launched the investigation after an anonymous source called police officers and alleged the Maroon 5 frontman was abusing his model wife Behati Prinsloo and their infant daughter Dusty Rose.

According to TMZ, the report included the claims Levine had struck his daughter in the face and knocked his wife to the ground. Officials quickly concluded the allegations were unfounded after paying a visit to the family, and the investigation, which was launched last week (ends14Oct16), is now reportedly closed.

Adam and Behati welcomed daughter Dusty Rose on 21 September (16) and the new father recently opened up about parenthood, insisting he and his wife are still trying to navigate around their lives as first-time parents.

"I've been a parent for three weeks; what do I know?" he told U.S. radio host Ryan Seacrest. "I don't know anything, but it's kind of part of the beauty of it, honestly. There are a lot of instincts, a lot of things that kind of kick in and switch on. It's a beautiful experience."

Adam and Behati kept fans updated of the model's pregnancy and following the birth they introduced their social media followers to the infant.

"Words can't describe Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16," 27-year-old model Behati captioned the black and white shot. The singer shared the same father-daughter snap on his Instagram account, writing "Dusty Rose Levine 9/21/16".

Since Dusty's arrival the couple has been enjoying time at home with the baby girl. Last month (Sep16), Adam's band postponed seven shows originally scheduled for late September (16) to allow him to take time off and enjoy the first weeks of fatherhood.
