Moderat and Modeselektor to play together for first time at Roskilde 2017
Roskilde have announced the first batch of acts to play the festival in 2017.
One of the absolute highlights of the festival season, Roskidle as well as being one of the biggest, is easily one of the best, with a world beating line up that never fails to disappoint
Some huge announcements are still to come but in terms of late night party entertainment it doesn’t get much better than having Berlin’s mighty Moderat and Modeselektor playing a set together for the first time. They will turn the main stage in to a 60,000 cap night club, playing right into the early hours when most other festivals would have shut up shop for the day.
The set is announced as an exclusive for the Danish festival and shows the organisers are cunningly prepared in not falling into a pitfall that many festivals do in having nearly entirely identical line ups to other festivals.
Also a frontrunner of tasteful live electronic beats perfect for a hedonistic summer is Denmark’s finest, Trentemøller. He will play the Arena stage which is the second biggest. It’s an easier space to get right in the action than the main one so expect the best atmosphere.
The list of acts announced so far is as follows. Expect much more brilliance from every genre and myriad countries to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale 15 November

HIEROGLYPHIC BEING (US)
JENNY HVAL (NO)
MARCHING CHURCH (DK)
