Jack Whitehall teases 'really big' 2025 BRIT Awards

Jack Whitehall has teased that the 2025 BRIT Awards will be "a really big night".

The 36-year-old comedian is returning to host the ceremony for the fifth time after helming the awards from 2018 until 2021.

It was a lacklustre affair the last time Whitehall commanded the event, however, as pandemic protocols limited what could be achieved at London's O2 Arena where the glitzy show is hosted.

He has promised to return with a bang this year, telling The Sun, "The last show I did was in 2021, which had a fair few restrictions due to Covid.

"So it always felt like, due to circumstances beyond my control, I'd maybe gone out with a little bit of a whimper. I think the Brits 2025 is going to make up for that and be a really big night."

The Fresh Meat actor went on to share his delight at being asked back to front the show - which will take place on Saturday 1 March.

He said, "When I first started out I was just like 'Jack, don't mess this up. This is such a big opportunity. You don't want to say the wrong thing and insult someone and then get taken off air.'

"Then I got to a point where I was like, 'It's probably best now to not outstay my welcome'. And now, here I am, back again."

Jack also shared his pre-show ritual, revealing, "It's quite zen backstage when I'm trying to get ready.

"I will probably be in there, just doing a sound bath or humming and trying to do some breath work to keep myself nice and calm. But then I go off like a coiled spring and bounce on to the stage."

Charli XCX is the most nominated star for the 2025 ceremony and she stands to win in five categories including British Album of the Year and British Artist of the Year.

While performers on the night will include former Little Mix star Jade, indie rock singer Sam Fender, and American pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter.
