Katy Perry 'grateful to grow up' in music industry with Lady Gaga

Katy Perry has gushed about fellow pop star Lady Gaga.

The California Gurls hitmaker was spotted in the crowd at Gaga's concert in Mexico City, Mexico on Sunday night.

Shortly after dancing to the Poker Face singer's hits, Katy took to her Instagram Stories to praise the performance.

"Show was MAGINIFCA!" the 40-year-old wrote alongside a snap of Gaga, 39, on stage. "The dress! The sand! Every moment was theee moment."

She then gushed about her friendship with Gaga, writing, "So proud of you and grateful to grow up together @ladygaga Love u."

In addition to her kind words, the Last Friday Night singer shared a clip of Gaga's Abracadabra performance and a video of her dancing with her friend Lauren Glucksman and longtime co-songwriter Sarah Hudson.

It was previously rumoured that the pop stars didn't get on, but both artists have publicly supported each other's music and careers on several occasions.

Gaga's show came after Katy performed in the Mexican capital on Saturday as part of her Lifetimes Tour, which kicked off on 23 April.

The Dark Horse hitmaker will make stops in the U.S., Australia, Europe and the U.K. before wrapping up in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 7 December.

Meanwhile, Gaga's performance follows her Coachella set earlier this month and she is next scheduled to perform at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 3 May.

In support of her latest album, Mayhem, the Die With a Smile hitmaker will kick off her Mayhem Ball tour in the U.S. in July.
