Bebe Rexha reveals pregnancy loss after Met Gala body shaming

Bebe Rexha has revealed she suffers from a hormonal disorder in response to online body shaming of her Met Gala look.

The Meant to Be singer hit back at online commenters who had criticised her size on the Met Gala red carpet.

Rapper Azealia Banks, 33, had singled out Bebe, 35, to body shame her appearance after Bebe wore a fitted, black Christian Siriano gown on the red carpet.

"Sis gives me - hormonal birth control implant or something," the 212 artist wrote on X.

"It's giving implanon/nuvaring she needs removed or depo shot that needs to stop happening (I'm not even tryna play her)."

Bebe was quick to respond, with a now-deleted post explaining she has suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome - a hormonal disorder associated with heavier weight, irregular menstrual cycles, reduced fertility, acne, and increased risk of diabetes.

"I'm so tired of people commenting on my weight," she wrote. "I have PCOS and struggle with infertility."

Bebe then shared that she had suffered a pregnancy loss in secret.

"I got pregnant, and it didn't work out and I've been carrying that pain in silence," she wrote. "I never owed anyone the truth, but maybe now you'll think twice before commenting on anyone's body."

She went on to write a public reply directly to Azealia's post, suggesting the rapper embark on therapy.

"And you might wanna jump on some type of therapy, sis, lexapro worked great for me," Bebe wrote.

"Something that helps with the deep rooted sadness and chaos you keep projecting. Healing looks good on everyone. Try it."
