NewsMay, 7 Kelly Clarkson reflects on being subjected to 'very cruel' comments about her appearance![]() Kelly Clarkson has reflected on being subjected to "very cruel" comments about her appearance. The singer released her latest single, Where Have You Been, earlier this month and explained that she deliberately chose to wear racy outfits for the accompanying music video. Speaking on Today With Jenna & Friends, Clarkson said she decided to wear the sultry outfits in response to criticism she has received about her appearance. "In all honesty, I've had a lot of people always in my career tell me - I mean be very cruel, 'Oh you look slutty if you wear this,'" she explained. "Oh, I've had people be very cruel. And so, it's just like, I've never been able to be what I want for that moment, for that song, what that character calls for. Because they're all different characters, right?" The Stronger hitmaker then went on to describe her new song as a "very sexy moment". She continued, "It's a song about that intimate moment where you finally go, 'Wow. I just found the unicorn situation, and I did not know that was on the bingo card for my life.'" Clarkson, 43, then joked that the music video was a good opportunity to show off her recent weight loss. "Look, I lost some weight, and I was like, 'You put me in something fitting. 'Cause I don't know how long this will last,'" she quipped. During an episode of her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Since U Been Gone singer opened up about using weight loss drugs. Clarkson explained that she was initially "afraid" of using the drug, but decided to take it when her "blood work got so bad". She continued of the medication, "It's something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously my body doesn't do it right."
