Lizzo shares inspirational message after 'bawling in bed' over tough morning

Lizzo has shared words of encouragement with fans after admitting she has been struggling with her emotional health.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the About Damn Time hitmaker posted a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt with the words "God's sexiest soldier" on the front.

She also wore black sunglasses and a baseball cap from her Yitty clothing line.

In the accompanying caption, Lizzo - real name Melissa Jefferson - emphasised that it's fine not to feel completely together all the time.

"My crashouts about the world are valid. And so are yours," she wrote. "Today I was bawling in bed... I cancelled my workout... I was driving around sobbing because some days I just can't take it. This s**t ain't easy for anybody."

Lizzo went on to insist everyone experiences times when they're feeling low.

"I have grace for everyone who feels like they're going insane... for everyone who feels like nothing is good enough... for everyone who feels like they failed... I FEEL YOU. But I'm still here, and so are you," the 37-year-old declared.

In response, many fans thanked Lizzo for being so honest.

"Your response to anything in life that affects you is valid. Take the time you need to process and to feel. Blessings of love and light, clarity and peace to you," one follower praised, while another added: "Your honesty helps so many who are feeling the same way. Thank you."

And in a follow-up post, Lizzo shared a video of her playing the flute in a backyard and added: "Have a good day."

Last month, the Juice star revealed she had been riddled with anxiety in the lead-up to her 37th birthday party but felt much better after "crying like a baby" while surrounded by her friends and family.

Lizzo is set to drop her new album, Love in Real Life, later this year.
