NewsNovember, 6 KATSEYE postpone shows as Megan Skiendiel recovers
KATSEYE have called off two more concerts as Megan Skiendiel deals with a concussion. A representative for the girl group broke the news at short notice on Tuesday that the Wildworld Tour date in Detroit, Michigan would not go ahead because Skiendiel was unwell. The shows lined up for Chicago and Minneapolis this week have been postponed too, and on Thursday a spokesperson gave fans a clearer picture of the singer's condition. In a statement shared on Instagram Stories, the spokesperson explained that the label had decided to push back the Chicago and Minneapolis gigs while Megan recovers from a concussion. They said everyone was incredibly sorry to let fans down, especially those who had travelled long distances to be there. The representative stressed that the cancellations were not being taken lightly and repeated how sorry the team was for the disappointment. Rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as possible, and ticket holders are asked to keep hold of their tickets. The message ended with thanks for the continued love, support and understanding, and a promise that the group cannot wait to see fans in both cities again soon. Skiendiel, 20, has not spoken publicly about how she sustained the concussion, and new dates for the affected shows have yet to be confirmed. This is not the first time the Touch hitmakers have had to adjust the trek. Earlier, Manon Bannerman confirmed she was taking a hiatus for mental health reasons, while Sophia Laforteza is sitting out the North America leg. KATSEYE are next due on stage in Austin, Texas, on 10 November.
