Gaga closes 2013 Jingle Bell Ball

Lady Gaga was the toast of the night as she brought the 2013 Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball to a spectacular close.

The Do What U Want star, the headlining act for the second night of the music concerts, ensured she was the talking point with her outrageous outfits and theatrical performances, reported Capital FM.

For her opening performance of Jingle Bells, the 27-year-old wore a silver glitter suit and green and blonde wig, as she sat in a silver car which drove up the ramp and onto the stage. She later stripped down to a shell bra, black underwear and black tights to sing her latest single, Do What U Want.

"It's been a very exciting day for me because I have not performed since February in an arena because Grandma had her hip done. So thank you, for my first night back," she told the 16,000 strong crowd.

After her closing track Applause, Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - said: "I had such a wonderful time tonight, and I'm gonna miss you. Thanks for making my first night back in the arena so memorable. The only thing I really live for is this... I live for this moment right here, the applause."

Gaga's show-stopping finale followed an evening of performances from Jessie J, Dizzee Rascal, Little Mix, Jason Derulo and Rudimental.

Katy Perry closed the first night of the gig with a set comprising of her older hits like I Kissed A Girl, Teenage Dream and Firework with her new songs such as Roar and Unconditionally.

Ellie Goulding, Rizzle Kicks, Olly Murs, Tinie Tempah, James Arthur and Disclosure also took to the stage to play on the opening night of the ball, which was hosted by JLS' Marvin Humes at London's O2 Arena.
