Tally Koren honoured to address House of Lords

Tally Koren was "absolutely honoured" to speak at the House of Lords yesterday (08.03.16).

The singer was invited by Lord Eames to perform and address the audience for A Celebration of Achievements & the Common Bond of Women about her experiences growing up in Israel on International Women's Day.

And Tally was also "inspired" by the words of the other speakers including Baroness Blood, Kate Anolue, the former mayor of Enfield, peace activist Pauline Long - who spoke about women in Africa - and Ahlam Akram, the founder of BASIRA who discussed women's rights in the Middle East.

Tally said: "It was an absolute honour to be invited to speak at The House Of Lords On International Women's Day and Inspiring to hear all the other women speakers."

In addition to the speakers, BBC Radio Bristol's Livvy and Chrissie provided some light relief for the evening with a rap from their forthcoming single 'Hot 'n Bothered', which is being released for Sport Relief.

Tally's upcoming new album, 'A Love Song For You', will be released on March 18, while the single of the same name is out now.
