Usher cancels Australian leg of tour

Usher has cancelled the Australian leg of his Past Present Future tour.

The R&B star was scheduled to perform 12 shows across Melbourne and Sydney in November and December, with fans eagerly awaiting his first live shows in Australia for almost 14 years. On Friday, Live Nation announced the dates had been scrapped.

"The promoter of Usher's Australian tour regrets to advise that the scheduled shows to take place in November/December will no longer be proceeding," read the statement shared via the Ticketek website.

No reason has been given for the cancellation, but Live Nation has reassured fans that all tickets purchased will be automatically refunded in full to the original payment method used.

Customers have been advised to wait up to 30 days for the funds to appear in their account.

Usher first announced the Australian leg of the Past Present Future tour back in March, as he promised to bring "the A to the AUS" via an Instagram announcement.

Tickets went on sale in May and there was such a high demand for the shows that another four dates were added.

The Past Present Future tour, which kicked off in August 2024, has already seen the Yeah! star perform to fans in sold out shows across the US and Europe.

Usher has been joined on stage by special guests including Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, Naomi Campbell, Estelle, Craig David and LL Cool J.
