Miley Cyrus has teased "really special" plans to mark the 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana. The singer/actress has hinted at some major plans to celebrate the upcoming milestone of the Disney Channel series that launched her career back in 2006. During a recent appearance on SiriusXM's TikTok Radio, Miley reflected on her time on the show, in which she played an ordinary teenager named Miley Stewart, who secretly lived a double life as the pop star Hannah Montana. "I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today," the Flowers hitmaker said. "Without Hannah, there really wouldn't be this kind of... this me." Miley went on to share how the character had a lasting impact on her life. "It's so crazy to think, too, that I started as a character that I thought was going to be impossible to shed," the 32-year-old shared. "And now that's something that when I walk into a space, it's looked at as this sense of nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood, but I've now been kind of integrated into everyone's life as the character itself. So that's exciting to get to celebrate that." In 2016, Miley marked the 10th anniversary of the show's release with a public letter in which she wrote that, although she felt "disconnected" from who she was at the time, she "will always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given". Miley starred in the show for four seasons between 2006 and 2011, as well as the 2009 film, Hannah Montana: The Movie. Her co-stars included Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, Jason Earles, and her real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.
