Peter Doherty plots 2027 UK tour with Mike Joyce

Peter Doherty has lined up a ten-date UK tour for February 2027, and he will be backed by a freshly assembled solo supergroup. The run is billed as The Joyce, Jones, DeVidas, Neary, Moore Tour and will be the first time this lineup plays live in Britain.

On drums is former The Smiths sticksman Mike Joyce. He is joined by guitarist Mike Moore, known for his work with Liam Gallagher, bassist and pedal steel player Mark Neary of Baxter Dury's band, guitarist Jack Jones from Trampolene, and keyboardist Katia deVidas of Puta Madres. The set will span Doherty's solo material, songs from Babyshambles and The Libertines, plus a handful of Smiths numbers.

The dates come on the back of a strong year for Doherty's latest solo record, Felt Better Alive, which reached Number 7 in the UK chart in May 2025 – his best solo placing to date. Four singles came from the album: Pot Of Gold, The Day the Baron Died, Felt Better Alive and Calvados. Over two decades he has put out twelve studio albums: four with The Libertines, three with Babyshambles, three solo, one with The Puta Madres and The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime, his 2022 collaboration with Frédéric Lo.

Meanwhile, Babyshambles have a new live album, Live At Koko, due on 13 November 2026. After a summer of European shows, the band wrap up the year with two gigs in Belgium in December, then return to London for three sold-out dates at the 100 Club, Kingston's Circuit and an 'Evening with Babyshambles' at KOKO.

The 2027 tour opens at Bath Komedia on 1 February and moves through Brighton Concorde 2, Falmouth Princess Pavilion, Southampton Engine Rooms, Nottingham The Palais, Manchester Academy 2, Newcastle Wylam Brewery, Holmfirth Picturedrome and Kidderminster Town Hall. The final night is at London's Hackney Church on 12 February.

Tickets go on general sale at 10:00am on Friday 6 November 2026.
