Injured Archer to rejoin Beady Eye

Injury-prone Beady Eye guitarist Gem Archer says he will be back on stage for the band's tour in November - three months after he was forced to pull out of shows.

The group, led by Liam Gallagher, had to cancel a series of gigs including appearances at this summer's V Festival after the musician suffered a head injury.

But Archer - who subsequently broke his leg in addition - sent a message to fans to say he hoped to rejoin the band for forthcoming shows next month.

Thanking them for their support he said: " I am on the mend, not gone round the bend and treading carefully whilst taking each day as a giant leap forward.

"I still consider myself lucky, who knows why things happen, but they do and it all could have been much worse but it wasn't. That was then and as of now, I can't wait to stand with a guitar in my hand alongside the rest of the boys, on a stage in front of some of you from November onwards.

The group has also had further problems with Gallagher's marriage difficulties over claims that he fathered a child with a US journalist.

Beady Eye - formed by the remaining members of Oasis, following the departure of Noel Gallagher - are due to play shows in Dublin on November 7 and 8, before UK dates which begin at Glasgow's Barrowland on November 10.

Archer added: "'You can't change the wind, but you can change how you walk into it ', as an old friend said to me once. Here's to next time and knowing a little more of how to do the walk."
