NewsNovember, 7 The Weeknd Tour Sets Male Artist Record
The Weeknd has wrapped up his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour, and the numbers are staggering: the run has been confirmed as the highest-grossing tour ever by a male artist, pulling in more than $1.3 billion USD. The four-year trek ended on 5 November 2026 with a show at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur. That final date closed out a sold-out Asian leg of 17 shows, among them three nights in Bangkok and four at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. Kicking off in July 2022, the tour grew to 176 shows in 67 cities, covering 30 countries and five continents, with over 9 million tickets sold around the world. It kept its commercial pace right to the end, shifting more than 3 million tickets and earning over $500 million in 2026 by itself. Venue records fell along the way. The Canadian star played to more than 450,000 people over seven UK stadium dates in 2026, was the first artist to sell out six nights at Paris's Stade de France on a single tour, set a SoFi Stadium record in Los Angeles for the most performances by a male artist, and became the top-selling international male solo artist in Hong Kong. The tour also gave back: $8.5 million was raised for the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen to back global hunger relief and education for children, including $3 million in 2026 for United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen work. As the Asian leg drew to a close, The Weeknd gave fans a surprise on 31 October with Hong Kong, a collaboration with Cantopop legend Faye Wong. The single set streaming records in China, notching the biggest first-day debut for a non-Mandarin song on NetEase Cloud Music in five years and the biggest debut ever for a Western male artist on QQ Music.
