Pete Doherty announces two new UK dates for December

Pete Doherty has today announced two new live dates in the UK for both Manchester and London.

The Libertines man is set to perform at London's 02 Forum, as well as, Manchester's Albert Hall, on December 6th and 7th, respectively.

Doherty who is fresh from a tour of South America with The Libertines, toured the UK solo in May of this year.

The new album is to be called, Hamburg Demonstrations, which appears to be a nod to his time recording there.

The singer used the same producer who worked with The Libertines and Babyshambles over a six month period in the city of Hamburg.

Amongst the tracks is a poignant reference to the death of the late singer, and personal friend of Doherty, Amy Winehouse

The song, which was originally called, 'Flags of The Old Regime', has been changed to, 'Flags From The Old Regime'.

Another heartfelt moment comes in the form of, 'Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven', which is a song about the terrorist attack in the Parisian venue, Le Bataclan, in November of 2015.

The track is even more fitting, as Doherty is the first musician to play there since the attacks.

Doherty's new album, Hamburg Demonstrations, is due for release on 2nd December.
