Reba McEntire to Honor Dolly Parton at Emmys

Reba McEntire is set to salute Dolly Parton during the 2026 Emmy Awards on Monday night, according to a report.

Deadline editors said on Sunday that the country star would honor the late entertainment figure at the ceremony, which takes place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

What the tribute will involve has not been revealed.

Parton, known for hits such as Jolene and I Will Always Love You, passed away last month at 80 after what was described as a brief fight with cancer.

She and McEntire had been friends for many years, and Parton appeared in a 2005 episode of the sitcom Reba.

The Television Academy has already said that the In Memoriam portion of the evening will feature Noah Kahan singing Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Viewers can also expect nods to two anniversaries: 30 years of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, marked by David Boreanaz and Sarah Michelle Gellar, and 50 years of Charlie's Angels, with Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith taking part.

Mariska Hargitay will host, and presenters will include Stephen Amell, Awkwafina, Scott Caan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Garner, Woody Harrelson, Paul Anthony Kelly, Matthew McConaughey, John Mulaney, Brooks Nader, Emmy Rossum, Sofía Vergara and Shailene Woodley, among others.

Actor and activist Michael J. Fox will receive the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.

In the Outstanding Comedy Series race, the nominees are Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Margo's Got Money Troubles, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking and Widow's Bay.

Competing for Outstanding Drama Series are The Diplomat, The Gilded Age, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Paradise, The Pitt, Pluribus, Slow Horses and Your Friends & Neighbors.
