Amy Winehouse Band Plans Back to Black 20 Concert

Amy Winehouse's old backing group is putting on a one-off show to celebrate two decades of her landmark record, and several guests are coming along for the ride.

The concert, called Back to Black 20, is set for London's Roundhouse on 21 October. It marks 20 years since the release of the album Back to Black.

The Amy Winehouse Band, made up of the musicians who toured and recorded with her, will play the award-winning 2006 album from start to finish.

Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, both producers on the record, are also on board. Ronson said he felt honoured to be asked to celebrate Amy alongside Salaam and other artists he considers worthy of singing her songs, adding that doing justice to the album's legacy was the aim of the night. He and Winehouse also teamed up on the 2007 single Valerie.

Guest vocalists lined up for the evening include Baby Rose, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jorja Smith, FLO, Nia Smith and Skye Newman.

Remi is eager to hear the singers take on well-known tracks such as Rehab, Love is a Losing Game, You Know I'm No Good and Back to Black. He remarked on how quickly the time has gone and said he could not believe it had already been 20 years, adding that he was excited to see what the women would bring to their versions of the songs.

Winehouse died in July 2011 at the age of 27 from accidental alcohol poisoning.

Fans who want the artist pre-sale for the concert can get an exclusive code by pre-ordering a 20th anniversary edition of Back to Black from Winehouse's official store before midday on 28 September. General sale tickets go live at 10am BST on 1 October.

BBC Two and BBC iPlayer will broadcast the concert in late October as part of a celebration of Winehouse's legacy.
