Ray J Hospitalized During Livestream

Ray J experienced a medical emergency on Thursday, 1 October, while livestreaming on his Kick account. The R&B singer was suddenly taken ill, and the fire department and an ambulance were called to help him.

His mother, Sonja Norwood, was by his side during the incident. Footage from the stream shows Ray J without a shirt, with equipment attached to his chest, as medical staff tend to him on a sofa.

This is not the first health scare for the musician. Earlier this year, he went on Instagram to let fans know he had been hospitalized because of heart problems. He is the younger brother of Brandy Norwood and a cousin of Snoop Dogg.

In that message, he said, "I wanna thank everybody for praying for me. I was in the hospital. My heart's only beating like 25 per cent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right, so thank you for all your prayers."

He was also hospitalized in Las Vegas in January with pneumonia and heart pain. According to Ray J, years of heavy drinking and drug use have led to heart issues. "I f**ked up," he said in one live video. "I thought I could handle all the drugs, I could handle everything, but I couldn't."
