Chase and Status Aim for Highest New Entry

Chase and Status could land the highest new entry on this week's Official Singles Chart with their new track Carnage, which features London rapper Little Simz. Early streaming and sales figures from the Official Chart First Look put the song at Number 28, a position that would give the duo their 14th Top 40 single.

The collaboration arrives after the release of Chase and Status's seventh studio album, Generic Everything. For the record, Saul Milton and Will Kennard brought in a range of well-known UK artists to add to their drum and bass sound.

At the top, Taylor Swift is still in charge, with Patient Zero expected to spend a third straight week at Number 1. The chasing pack is not far behind, though. Jamie Miller's breakthrough hit Babydoll moves up one place to Number 2, and Ashe's Stop The Wedding! climbs to Number 3, setting up a busy top three before Friday's final countdown.

Lower down, British rap mainstay Digga is hoping for another new entry with Girls All Around The World, which sits at Number 39. Club tracks are also gaining ground. Good Girl by Cloonee, Prospa and Tristan Henry is aiming for its first Top 20 appearance after jumping nine places to Number 16. German DJ Kolter's Hey Everybody (Back In The Dance) moves to Number 20, while Mi Chico by DJ Goja, Jason Derulo and Melody rises to Number 26.

The rest of the top ten features Sienna Spiro's Great Expectation at Number 4, Stella Lefty's Boston at Number 5, and Ella Langley's Choosin' Texas at Number 6. Adela's Nicole Kidman stays at Number 7, followed by Olivia Rodrigo's The Cure at Number 8, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's Rein Me In at Number 9, and Olivia Dean's solo hit Man I Need entering the Top 10 at Number 10.
